Textbook Buyer and Digital Assistant

Reporting to the Business Development Manager, Digital Engagement, the Textbook Buyer and Digital Assistant assists in the daily operation of the Bookstore by ensuring a high level of customer service is provided to students, faculty and staff. This involves accepting book requests from the academic community through email, web site, telephone or in person, by clarifying instructions and advising on order status, by determining book availability with vendors, and by ordering and following up with vendors. The Textbook Buyer and Digital Assistant assists with researching, listing, and distributing digital books through various eBook platforms. In addition, the Textbook Buyer and Digital Assistant assists the text unit with the orderly receiving, display, sale and return of unsold textbooks and assists with the purchase of used textbooks from students and other sources. This position provides backup to other buyers with book and non-book merchandise ordering as required.
