The Course Materials Buyer works within the Book Division of the UCCS Bookstore, responsible for providing textbooks & course materials to UCCS students. This directly supports the mission of the university by furthering the institution’s vision of advancing knowledge, making the Book Division an indispensable component of the student experience. The Book Division provides textbooks & course materials on time, in the right quantities, at a reasonable price, and at an acceptable margin. This requires strategic planning and execution of early book adoptions, dynamic and early sourcing/buying for the best costs, accurate buyback to avoid unnecessary re-buys and freight expense, timely vendor returns for rebates and remuneration, providing lower cost rental options, and competitive market pricing.
