Session 1:

It's critically important now to maintain a healthy store operation and a value-focused, strategic mindset amid a post-pandemic, post-ecommerce world where administrators are both looking for ready answers but perhaps not to the right questions.

We hope all ICBA Member Stores will join us as we showcase ideas & tools for messaging, preparedness, and action when it comes to asserting YOUR value as an independent store and combating the encroachment of lease operation.

WHAT YOU'LL LEARN

Between the two sessions, we'll be covering the progress and plans for all three components of the VOICE initiative:
• General advocacy to the campus administrator audience
This general messaging communicated directly to campus administrators applies to all Members regarding the value of independent stores and how ICBA provides buying power and beneficial resources.
• Communications Resource Library
These Member-shared resource items for "browsing and borrowing" will allow you to customize communications to your campus: annual reports, brochures, posters, signs, letters, social media posts, presentation templates, etc.
• The Healthy Store Checklist
Free self-assessment tool to identify strengths and weaknesses and development intentional plans for those areas.

The VOICE initiative is designed to equip you with talking points and data to help you tell your story. The guiding principle behind each of our stories is that a well-run independent store is always the best choice to support a campus and its diverse stakeholders.

Exclusive ICBA Online Institutes typically have a registration fee of $99 per store for ICBA Members ($149 per store for ICBA Affiliate Members). Given the challenges of the incredibly dynamic retail environment, we'll be waiving all fees for this Member education.
